Coming Soon…the 2012 Book Expo!

Today begins a series of posts on local authors that will be appearing at the Flint Public Library’s First Book Expo!

The Expo will be held in room B-1 of the Flint Public Library, 1026 E. Kearsley, on May 19th, 2012 from 1 pm until 5 pm.  All genres will be represented, with over 35 authors present in total. This Expo is special because it includes self-published, as well as established authors, giving both a stage on which to showcase their work.

Here are the local authors that have confirmed their attendance:

Chris Ringler,  Crystal Turner, C. Lynn, Dan Waltz, Dangerous Lee, Danielle Green, DeVine, Eileeen Button, Dr. Ernest Emenyonu, Glen Birdsall, Jeff LaFerney, Jim Goldsmith, Jr. , Joseph Dennis, Joy Byas Johnson, Kelly Flynn, Marianne Evans, Mark Eller, Mark Elswick, Nicholas Maze, Patrick Jones, Paul Counelis, Peg Herring, R. Simone, Sandra Peoples, Shawnte Lawrence, Shuntai Beaugard, Terese Cole, W. Lynn Chantale, and Walethia  Aquil.

In addition, a few Michigan authors have been invited to participate, as well as book agents, and publishers.

Cindy Spencer Pape, Cora Blu, Helen Bradley Hall, Janet Heller, Jean Alicia Elster, John Warnock, Kathleen Rollins, Lisa Orchard, Mary Louise Pollack, Rohn Federbush, Sue Topping, and Tracy Bilen are all authors from outside the local area, and will join Modern History Press, represented by author Robin Marvel; and Anchor Publishing, represented by author Stacey Rourke, at the event. Book Agent Cheryl O’Neal, representing Bradley’s Publishing Company,  is also expected to attend.

The authors will be selling their works, and readers will have an opportunity to meet each author. This event promises to be a lot of fun, so don’t miss it!
